We are proud to share that AVELA has been recognized with a 2026 ACM SIGCHI Special Recognition for “building an impactful mentorship ecosystem that empowers thousands of underrepresented youth and strengthens community-rooted STEM learning and workforce development”.
The ACM Special Recognition awards celebrate meaningful contributions to the human-computer interaction community and to society more broadly. In 2026, 29 recipients were selected from 107 nominations across ACM SIGCHI’s award and recognition categories.
