AVELA was recognised as one of the winners of BECU’s People Helping People Awards 2024, which honors organizations in the Seattle community making a meaningful difference through service and positive change.
Our very own Ngozi Ezeokeke won BECU’s Member Volunteer of the Year Award. As part of the prize, she was able to nominate a nonprofit to receive $50,000. We are immensely grateful to Ngozi for choosing AVELA as her nonprofit beneficiary, nominating it for the People Helping People Award, and for her advocacy and leadership in our organization.
